Solar Vision Inc. Response to COVID-19

New updates in bold print to coincide with local government regulations April 28, 2020.

Quick tip, if you don’t have time to read entire letter, skip to the bottom for our implemented safety precautions.

At this point we’ve all been inundated by emails, and post about what Starbucks, Nordstrom, and other large corporations are doing to combat COVID-19 during this crisis. However you probably haven’t heard from many local small business. Small businesses account for almost 50% of jobs in the United States, however since we’re so small you don’t hear much about what we’re doing. While I can’t speak for every small business in the Denver Metro Area, I can speak for Solar Vision Inc.

First things first as a small business, our first instinct is to continue working our tails off, and generating business. Revenue is important to all businesses, but for a small business it isn’t just Share Holders, and CEO’s who take revenue and profits seriously, it’s everyone on your team. If you own a small business, or have worked at one for a long time, you understand our sense of community, we all do what we have to do for the greater good. Revenue and profits are still very important, and we’ve always taken safety very seriously at Solar Vision Inc., however in light of the newest obstacle COVID-19, we’ve had to pump the breaks a bit and make changes to our day to day operations.

Here are some changes that have been implemented at Solar Vision Inc. while we continue conducting business in the safest possible way. The first thing you’ll notice is our office hours. Currently our offices are closed through May 8, 2020. Our Office Staff is working from home at this time. While we aren’t physically in the office we can still assist our customers and are readily available in this new non-conventional way, which may include a barking dog, or busy toddler in the background during a call with us. We’ll be reopening our office May 11th with limited hours of 8am-3pm to accommodate the “Safer at Home” measures put forward by the State of Colorado, and Tri-County Health Department. Until we’re in the office again, you can reach us at 720-917-9651.

While our Office is closed, our Install Team is still installing, mostly commercial projects. They have been instructed to not come to work should they exhibit any cold or flu symptoms, or have had any exposure to the COVID-19 virus. Solar Vision Inc. already offers Employees PTO, however thanks to the Families First Act our Install Team can feel secure with missing work, without missing a paycheck should they have to make the difficult decision to stay home from work.

Our Installation Team has been instructed to wipe down all work surfaces before and after installation. They are also heavily equipped with hand sanitizer, and facial mask, thanks to our Office Coordinators Susie’s Mom who sewed them for our Installers. While medical grade mask would be better, it’s just not possible to procure them at this time.

Solar Vision’s plan is to continue to operate, but in a way that is the safest for our Employees and Customers. After this is over our hope is to come back Colorado Strong, and continue to be the #1 Window Film installation company in our State. We know we cannot do that without the support of everyone on our amazing team, and of course our customers.
