3M™ Security Film for Schools - In light of recent events, we’ve been contacted more than ever by schools to assist with Security Window Film. While working with different schools around the state we’ve noticed a lot of misinformation. Many school specifications call for film alone, but did you know this won’t work! Security film is a system and should be installed along with an attachment to preform as designed.
Also, security film is not bullet proof or bullet resistant, it’s designed to hold the glass together and act as a deterrent in case of potential break-in. Having security film is not a foolproof solution, but designed to provide additional time for your faculty to assist in getting your students and themselves to safety.

3M™ Security Film for Commercial Properties - Even when you’re closed, Thieves know the easiest way into your shop or office is through the front door. This is because your front entrances are tempered, also know as safety glass. Without much effort this glass can be broken into thousands of pieces, allowing intruders to walk right in and grab what they want quickly.
With 3M Safety and Security Film, the break in process will be slowed down. This will act as a deterrent, and hopefully lead the would be intruder away.

3M™ Impact Protection Adhesive
3M™ Impact Protection Adhesive - Like discussed in every topic prior, this is an additional part of a Security Film Installation that cannot be ignored.
The attachment system will anchor the window film to the frame of the glass. Without an attachment system, Safety and Security film regardless of manufacturer or installation company will not work as designed.
3M™ Impact Protection Attachment Systems bonds the filmed window to the frame with either an adhesive or profile option.
Because window frames are all different, Solar Vision Inc. has a few different options for your installation to ensure you are getting the most effective and aesthetically pleasing attachment application.
Not all window and door frames work for 3M IPA. Frames must be able to accommodate at a minimum a 3/8 to a 1/2 inch bead of IPA on the film and frame of the glazing system to obtain optimal results.
Specification 3M Impact Protection Adhesive
